Crocheted animal figures with a welcoming Stitch Talks sign and cozy decor.

Pull up a chair. There’s room for you here.

A Note from Our Creator

Hi, I’m Mic, the creator behind Stitch Talks.

This started in a very real place for me. I was overwhelmed. I was struggling to keep everything together, and it wasn’t just about needing a quick breath. I needed to pause long enough to ask myself how I had gotten to that point. Work, school, health, family, and all the unfinished things had started to feel tangled together. I picked up my yarn and hook again, not because I had some big plan, but because I needed something steady in my hands while I tried to sort through what was happening inside me.

Stitch Talks has only been taking shape for a few days, but it has felt like a whirlwind in the best way. Like finding a new pattern and suddenly seeing all the possibilities: the colors, the textures, the stitches, and the places it could go. At first, it was just an idea for a podcast. Then it started becoming something more: a place for real stories, reflection, encouragement, and the tangled parts of life we don’t always know how to name right away.

Faith is part of my story, and it will naturally show up here. But you don’t have to believe the same way to pull up a chair. Stitch Talks is a welcoming space for honest conversation, encouragement, and connection. All are welcome here.

My hope is that Stitch Talks feels like sitting with a good friend. A place where you can bring your unfinished thoughts, your questions, your laughter, your faith, your doubts, and the pieces of your story that are still taking shape. You don’t have to know anything about crochet to pull up a chair. Just come as you are. Even your newest project is welcome.

The Beginning

The first Stitch Talks blog post, The Start of Something New, shares the behind-the-scenes story of how this idea began late one night with yarn, a crochet hook, and the simple need to breathe.

Told through the eyes of Millie the Magic Ring, the story reflects the heart of Stitch Talks: sometimes something meaningful begins quietly, one breath, one stitch, and one honest thought at a time.
